NH5 — Link to the Code
How NH5 links a reflection to the NMC Code. This is one short exchange; real sessions continue interactively, responding to what you actually write.
Example
How NH5 links a reflection to the NMC Code. This is one short exchange; real sessions continue interactively, responding to what you actually write.
Paste your reflection and tell me if you already have a theme in mind. The four themes are Prioritise people, Practise effectively, Preserve safety, and Promote professionalism and trust.
My reflection is about taking time to explain a procedure to a frightened patient until they understood and consented.
This connects most naturally to Prioritise people — acting in partnership, respecting the person's right to be involved in decisions about their care — and arguably Practise effectively through clear communication.
The link only counts if it's genuine and in your words, not a label bolted on. Try this: write one sentence that states, from your own account, how what you did reflects “prioritising people”. I'll check it reads as a real connection rather than a tick-box.
The tutor questions, diagnoses and teaches, but never writes your experience, feelings, insight or learning. That boundary is the whole point.
